North Texas Holiday Light-A-Holics

Welcome to the North Texas Holiday Light-A-Holics Workshop page! We are a collective of individuals primarily based in the North Texas region who take pleasure in creating animated light displays for our communities to appreciate. We gather monthly from February through September on the 4th Saturday of every month and hold our NTXHLWorkshop every other year. We are thrilled that you have discovered us and hope you'll participate in one of our monthly meetings and our NTXHLWorkshop.

2026 NTXHL Workshop

We provide various educational options for members from beginning to advanced. Our extensive curriculum includes a wide range of classes designed to meet the diverse needs of our members. We offer classes on everything from prop building, video projection, and lighting storage. Each course is tailored to ensure that participants gain practical skills and a deeper understanding of the subject matter. Whether you are just starting out or looking to refine your expertise, we have something for everyone.

Live Demonstration

During the workshop, there are classes that will allow you to have hands-on experience on how to build an array of lighting items. Many of our facilitators, who are seasoned professionals in the industry, will have actual products for you to sample during the workshop. Some vendors even offer pickup at the workshop for purchases that you complete online, ensuring that you can take home your selected items immediately.

Our workshops not only offer an opportunity to learn and grow, but also provide a space for connection and inspiration, where individuals from all walks of life come together to share ideas and experiences.

What classes are there for 2026?

This is a tentative schedule of the classes that will be offered at the 2026 Workshop. Schedule is subject to change and final schedule will be posted on workshop lanyards provided at registration.

2026 Build Class @ Workshop $139

Available for a maximum of 10 participants, this class will be held on Sunday from 9am-11:40am and will feature Eric Kristiansen facilitating the building of a teeter-totter prop that can be used through multiple holidays. This class incurs an additional fee due to it's material requirements of $139. This fee covers the motor ($33.99), Power Supply ($15.69), and all fittings required to walk away with a fully functional prop.
